Having a yard sale= not cool however, GOING to yard sales=very cool.

I agree wholeheartedly with that statement. I'd have to have it in my back yard so things didn't get stolen, then I have undesireables looking where I don't want them to look. Better to donate it. I have scrappers driving by out front asking about things in the back yard. They even tried to get my trailer ramps.

Scrappers picking up what isn't scrap... Grrr
My good chains for the Sears are missing and I think maybe someone helped themselves to where I think I put them. Can't be sure, suffering from CRS this week. Gotta eat some fish! :D

I caught some ding a ling trying to steal some old shelving from behind where I work, had it mostly in his truck. I just happened to be there late or he'd have gotten it. I asked who said he could have it and he said "Smith told me I could take it all". Oddly, no Smiths where I work... Called the boss & he was there in about ten seconds. HOT! Made him unload it and took all of his info. Told the local PD but didn't press charges. He looked like he may have been living in his truck and doing what he was for food & gas.

Now there is a man in the know. I personally pick up a lot of disposable{read; extra tractor cash from buying at yard sales, and selling at small roadside flea markets.] Makes a good extra income for me. that and just meeting and talking to people will sometimes turn up good leads on mowers, tractors, etc. I would be lost without em!

regards, George

After reading what type of yard sales you were talking about, I would just start burning it all. Haggling over the old tricycle or baby shoes or even the Thomas the tank engine video doesn't sound tolerable, never mind it getting old after the first few seconds.
