Why does it happen in cycles? I have cruised ebay and CL everyday for a long time now, I would see one or two nice GTs, in my price range, a week but it was usually a SEARs or some other basic GT. Finally a nice Premium GT popped up a WH D160 that needs a little work, its in my budget and close. So Me and the PO try to get a schedule for me to come by. It has taken about 3 weeks. During those three weeks all kind of goodies have popped up on CL, a few nice Case 220s, 1 Case 444, JD 3XXs, and finally today another WH D160 ($200). I have already commited to the orignal WH D160 guy that I would buy it if its as he described it, so I have had to let all these go by.

It reminds me of my teenage years and dating. When you are single you couldnt geta date but, as soon as you finally started dating someone all the other girls would want to date you.

I did call about the Case 444, the guy answered as he was selling it to someone else. I guess it was not ment to be. I may end up with the other D160 as a parts machine if I can get it by the misses.

I know what you mean coldone, it happens to me too, and I just keep loading them in the truck and deciding where to put them later lol.

I wasn't in the market for another GT when the Ford LGT 165 came up on CL. After finding out more info about it on the internet, I had to have it. It has taken some time and dollars to get it working and looking decent, but I really like it. At least I got it cheap enough that I can afford to fix the issues.

So when will you know for sure on the 1st D160? Having a parts tractor for such a hard to find unit is invaluable!

Here is rule number one to buying tractors, once you are in the midst of a deal, you are committed to buy everything in sight. :D
