Twin cyl, horizontal shaft.  Need the complete square air box assembly.  Has the two holes in the bottom for the vent tubes from the engine and one large hole for air from the flywheel fan.  The vertical shaft model will not fit, has to be from the horizontal shaft models.  This is what I have:  Briggs-1.JPG    Briggs-3.JPG

Pm me with what you have and asking price.

I would guess it is a B/S 422437 1209 01. I have several, but no spare air boxes.

Sorta speaking for cheiffan here, but the vertical might fit but the breather tubes wouldn't line up, and it would look funky.

I wish I knew.  Both side covers are missing but I have a pair located.  No numbers on the blower housing that I can find.

It might fit the carb and your right about the rest.  No air from the flywheel and no crank case breather tubes into the box.  Not sure how that would work.

If you can't find any from an opposed twin engine. I believe the Vangaurd engines use the same or a very similar air cleaner.

The B/S 422437 1209 01 is my engine, Yours is different as I can see with the intake manifold, but the air box should be the same. You will need the top and bottom, the strap that goes over the carb, a metal disk (can be made from a coffee can bottom, and the 3 bolts (fine thread) to attach the bottom box to the carb..... there is a gasket under there also. A filter, and cap screw.

I have the gasket and the bolts.  Like larrybl said the lid can be fabed up with no problem.  It is the box (both pieces) and the cross over strap.  Parts man at a dealer is going to check their bone yard for one.  Was pouring when I got there yesterday or would have looked then.  Appreciate the help on this.  Will see what parts tree has to say.

That is the engine model #.

Been answered. No head covers.  Have located another pair but numbers might not be right.

What are the two extra holes in your for.  2 are for the breather tubes, large one from the fan for fresh air.  2 more hole in the bottom plate ? ?  Is that the right an original over or revamped one? ?
