We sold a craftsman rider a week ago to this guy and every few days he was putting bad gas in it and wanting to fix it for free.

After a week of this guy's #%$%^in my uncle decided he would refund him his $600. He picked it back and brought back to the shop and the guy broke the ground wire to the keyswitch so we fixed that and then he filled it back up with old gas so we fixed that so then we checked the oil and the guy filled it to the full instead of below the arrow got that fixed. Last but not least the guy hit something broke the deck bracket and the blade brake. He didn't tell my uncle this and didn't notice it until we pulled off the trailer.

And that why I sell everything AS-IS.

i sold a bolens mulcher push mower to a guy, mowed the yard with it the day i sold it to him.2 hrs later i get a call, this guy told me i ripped him off.i told him to bring it back. he did and i gave him his money back. i took it to the shop, drained the DIESEL out of it, cleaned it out,put put gas in it, fired it up , run like new. called the guy who brought it back and told him it it wasnt designed to run on diesel.i put it back on craigslist and sold it the same day.

This is one reason I decided to close up shop.  At my age I didn't need the aggravation. I still work on a few buddies equipment, but mainly I'm working on my own.

I work with a guy that bought an new Stihl chain saw with a case, a few extra chains, a gallon of bar oil and a dozen little bottles of mix oil. The first trip out it locked up after 15 minutes because he used straight gas in it. Stupidity is NOT covered by the warranty, so now he owns 2 new chainsaws
