I brought home another treasure. A 1961 Bolens Ride a Matic, model 234 01. Seems pretty complete, lots of goodies with it. A sno caster, front reel mower, 2 rear reel mowers, Plow, harrow and cultivator and tire chains. has rear fenders, battery box and electric start. Found it in NY, near the Mass, Ct. border. I will be getting all the manuals, mailed to me, as she left them on Long Island. Now to find a spot to store it. Getting pretty full around here! Paid $700 for the lot.

Looks like a Puzzle!  A gold one is diff to me. Thought all ride-a-matics were the older cast green color style. This one does seem to have mix of green parts for it also though.

1956-1960 was green.

61 and 62 was gold.

Great haul and good to see it gone to an enthusiast.

We can only dream of getting all those attachments over here in the UK though a mate, Chris, got lucky with a RAM with a front cylinder mower recently. Lucky Sod!

Love those.  I think a great deal too.  Thanks for saying what you paid for it, most say what a great deal they got and then not say what they paid.  I'd  like to know what things are going for.

I've got a few other small parts like that also. They were brush painted somewhere in it's life. One of the side covers is black inside and it is original. As far as I know it should be the same gold with white stripes?
