Yep I was 10 years old and used a snapper with the bicycle handles.  I mowed with a push mower at age 6 my granddad caught my mom not looking and turn be loose with it.

I did the push mower and weed eater, He asked if he could try mowing the front yard. Not too bad, he had to go back over some spots.

Vaguely; Old dull blade non-motorized push mower; you know the kind, two steps forward, three steps back... (God do I feel old) We had 2 of them. Neither worth a Sh!t; but the yard had to be mowed.

Looks like he did a good job. Start them young I always say. Boy was on the rider @ 8 years of age; now, its like pulling teeth @ twenty. Enjoyed it while I could. It's ok; as I enjoy the smells and sounds of the mower now.

I got to ride a relatives rider first time when was about 7 or 8. Just an RER, not sure what brand, but sure was neat!  He said Yes first time I asked to ride it, suprised the heck out of me!  Could barely reach pedals. Have pix somewhere, but no idea now where.  About 1960 or so.

My first cutting was on a snapper probably 1990. I don't remember it really. I remember it was my grandparents yard.

Like Bmerf, heavy old mostly cast iron push mower. I was about seven before we lived somewhere that had a lawn.... lived in the bush before that. I remember I was too short to both hang on to the handle and push with any effectiveness so Mom let me walk between her and the mower and reach up to hold the handle while she pushed. Felt like I was really helping, but must have been a real pain for her.  I remember it like it was this morning.
