Huge carrots this year... Any ideas why?

Garden gets 3 loads of manure evey year (200x80), other than that, that's all we added. Carrots were planted beside/in/around dill that self seeded. image.jpg image.jpg

One carrot weighed in at 1 pound, the other 1 1/2 pounds

Those will work in a salad.Only need 1 of those big fellas for a huge family sized salad.

Carrots love dill, bunnies love carrots, people love rabbit stew-----I think you're onto something good. Get yourself some rabbits.

How are they on the inside?  Lot of times when they get that big they are woody inside.  Goat feed.  Can't raise carrots, they get full of worms before they get big enough to harvest.  Like the boys have said.  Carrot juice and carrot cake.  Win win.

Geez, if they were any bigger, you'd have to dress them up and name them.
Hope they're not hard on the inside. Looks like you have a good garden.

I wonder what they look like inside? Carrots love loose sandy soil, if your soil is hard they won't grow straight. However your carrots look really nice, just big......

We had a really good carrot crop but they didn't get that big.
