I refuse to put anything in my pickup bed that can't be lifted out.   Seen way too many people get hurt driving on or off ramps on pickups, and I will never be one of them.

I use a forklift to load and unload if I cant back into a ditch and use my ramps flat. If not, it's going on the trailer.

The reason I like my tilt bed, no ramps necessary, even if I buy a 6X12 single axle with a ramp gate, I'll still keep it as it's handy.

I used to have a max II amphibious 6x6, tried loading it up ramps into the back of my 77 F250, all went well till i came to the wheel wells, it was to wide so not thinking i goosed it to go over the wells....bad idea.

The 2 back tires were still on the ramps, being 6 wheel drive the tires kicked the ramps out, since 75% or so of the weight of the thing is in the back, over it went. It landed ontop of me, luckly there was snow to cushion my fall, i put my tooth thru my lip and was sore as hell for a few days....after that i fixed my 6x10 utility trailer...

But it coulda been much worse considering the thing weighed 900lbs or so
