Most likely from an 853 since it was painted white.

I have a Bolens 1456.. I took off the grass cutter which has a sq. Quad Male Shaft. My intent was to use my Bolens 18090 tiller which has a female hex shaft.
The universal connected to the H14 of course has a female quad u joint. I cannot get the u joint off to see if the PTO shaft is a hex female. If it is, will this connect directly to the tiller. If not is there a part or parts that I am missing? Do I need to get the u joint off or is there a missing part that allows the male hex shaft to connect to the female quad connector currently on the H14 shaft. Your help would be much appreciated. My pto shaft is splined. The joint is PINNED on and not the quick-connect kind like my bigger tractor has. The square end is really Rectangular, little bigger one way from other. I would say if you have hex, a diff joint is needed or attachment is for a totally diff model that takes that shaft then. I'm no Bolens expert, but this is what I have found on my G14.

You need to get the u-joint off the pto, then your tiller driveshaft will go right on the pto
