314 Grill

I recently picked up a late 314, serial # 222xxx (1983), it has a mesh grill in it but is missing the frame that the mesh would have fit in. Did any of the 314's ever have a mesh grill? I suspect it's wrong.

jdparts.com shows one part number used on ALL 314s = M81679

 

I found them from a couple of places for right around $100 for a new one.

I bought a 314 this spring and there is only the one grill for it. It has vertical slats like the picture above indicates. Here is a pic of mine.

The mesh style was used on the early 200 series that had the mesh side panels and the 300s.
