Does the owner know any history of it? I wouldn't let not knowing what it was stop me. You'll have plenty of time to research it after you get it.

The owner took it in on a trade and doesn't know anything about it.  Might be worth a shot to buy it.

That's definitely a Case tiller. So, it obviously has a decent hydro system to run it. I was also thinking a Case drive system with power steering but the rear wheels are only 4 lug. The shape of the rear part of the hood tells me 600 series (aside from it extending to the foot pans) Case which would also confirm Terramite but again back to the 4 lug wheels on the rear. I'm thinking definitely a home brew.
