The Bosch blue coils do have a good following. A lot of the pullers use them.

Well, I blew another NAPA coil again :wallbanging:

I was cutting near the edge of the field behind the house with the 800 and all of the sudden the tractor stopped dead without any warning.
I walked back got some tools and found I wasnt getting spark. I checked all the connections and everything was fine so the only other thing it could be was the coil, Sure enough when I swapped out another coil it started right up!

I got about 3 months out of this coil

I'm beginning to wonder if a Bad batch of coils were sent out :confuse:

Sorry to hear that you are still having problems with coils. Sure hope that you get it straightened out Brian. When you have a continuing problem with the same part it can be quite frustrating.

call up and complain. and if that doesnt get you anywhere get into a good old screaming match with them. even if it doesnt get you a new coil. someone in a foreign country suffers over it.

What # coil are you buying from NAPA, Brian?

If I'm not mistaken, they have a cheap coil and a more expensive coil, both of which have internal resistance.

Is your coil mounted where it is getting too much heat or vibration?

After all this coil trouble, I think I'd go the pricier route & get a high end racing type coil.
