I put another engine on one of my Bolens 1886's and want to add an oil pressure guage. I know there is the oil supply line to the governor but want to know if I can use the port that is just behind the cylinder on the dipstick side? I think on the later models (HT-18, 20) that had an idiot light, this is where the pressure sensor is. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes you can use that port as that is where i put mine. Just make sure to turn the motor over with the plugs out to remove the air from the line so the needle on the gauge does not bounce.
