Thank you! A local small engine shop said the Toro# 742569 was the same as my 37056 Gilson#. I asked the seller to see if they knew if would work and said I'd buy it if it he said if it would work.  Again thanks for the heads up!

I've been communicating with the seller on eBay and have been great. They researched the part as well and are unable to determine if it would work for me either. So I guess I'm going to postpone this project for a while.

Thank everyone for your help. I finally got to this. I did some more work on the spindle and figured out the problem. Now it spins freely  when the spindle nut is tightened. I got the deck back on the tractor but am having adjustment issues (separate post). I welded the plate to the spindle then light tacks on the bolt The welds were rubbing on the bottom of the spindle housing. It took some minor machining, grinding, head scratching and swearing, but it's back on the tractor.
