My 316 is very jumpy (hydro) when moving from a stop. The fluid in the hydro sight glass shows that it is over filled. Could that be causing the jumpy behavior? Or any other suggestions. The tractor is in excellent shape and has 900 hours.

Check linkages for wear, check damper cylinder, adjust according to manual.

Got a serial number?  Adjustments and repairs are determined by the production range of the machine.  There are also two different versions of the 316 which add confusion to the conversation.

The tractor is a 1989. The tractor is very touchy while switching from reverse to forward. it jumps forward rather thank slowly engaging? The hydro is very quiet and extreamly responsive and strong. It is just extreamly sensitive. Thoughts on how to make it less touchy?
