I know the splined axle Peerless 2300 series transaxles used on the MF 10 and 12 and the AMF 1010 do have a habit of wearing the hubs and making them loose, but how common is it ? I know the the JD GTs that use the same transaxle with splined axles has the same issue too. My AMF 1010 has VERY worn hubs. The rest of the tractor runs, drives and steers very nice. I'm wondering how hard it will be to find a good set of hubs. I haven't pulled them off yet so at this point I'm hoping for good splines on the axles but who knows.

That would be the thing to find out.

Just the hubs or wear on both?

Have two that got welded (oatmeal) by a PO.
I will drill, tap, and setscrew when the others get bad enough to worry

I've had 3 MF12H's and one MF10 and only one of them has had bad hubs, the others were fine and not repaired. So......25% chance of bad hubs? lol
