Is the bracket for the generator factory so that it runs off the back pulley?

Very cool!  Those are very popular with collectors, and are handy as heck.  The one I have now is a Simplicity variety of the same, and see's most of it's use at deercamp, when it's time to build a remote blind.

Yes, that's an OEM setup.  usually the belt cover is missing, and often times, the mount is MIA as well.
