I know this is a odd request and this is my home forum these days. But since Mytractorforum done their whole "everybody has to rest their password" thing I'm locked out over there. I can't into my email that I used for MTF. I can't message a admin or mod over there without being logged in either. If anyone here could get a hold of a mod or admin over there to let them know my issues and help me out I would be grateful. I'm not over there much anymore but I have been a member over there for around 10 years and still like to stop in occasionally. My user Name is Rustyoldjunk over there also.

Thanks to anyone who can give me a hand.

I have not had to reset my password since I joined a year ago or so.  Seen the message a few times they sent out but it didn't effect me any.

I was just there so sent them a message to contact you.  Hope it helps.

I just re-set my password over there.
You have to click on the " forgot password -username" button.
So long as you haven't changed your email address, it should work.

I'm using their hack snafu as an excuse to quit them for good. Of course, I've said that twice before and it didn't pan out.

I'm not going back there unless Ellis paints his Gravely puller. That should be a safe bet......... :rolling:

I went on my phone and it is closed down and you have to re-list with much more complicated password, with UPPER, lower, symbols, numbers and other things just like most other places are doing now. I didn't try the puter, it used to be autmatic, will look later. They also said if you use common password for other sites to change them also.  When's this internet damage stuff gonna stop?  Don't seem to be a solid stopping that doesn't seem to be hacked by the bad guys.  The world really needs to get away from one web puter systems.  Each bank should have their own system and not connected world wide. Same with any government stuff. Don't know the answer, just keep hoping no one takes Us or over using the internet. Bet it could be done.

:watching_you: Now I know why my ears were burning this afternoon! :bigrofl:

Any of you fellows (or gals) having trouble just shoot me an email and I can send you a password, update your email, etc. to get you back in. (Or if you just want a weather report from my back yard that's fine too! :D)

Back in the 1990's we used dial up modem in the shop for parts ordering. The companies would send us a dedicated phone number and login details. There was something to be said about doing it that way security wise. But I suppose someone with an infected computer logging in could have damaged that type of system as well. Take a lot more time though to do it compared to today with the high speed connections.
