    Had one in my neighborhood several years back. Lack of advertising may have been the reason for their failure. I never knew they existed until they were gone.   Don

Used to have them here, This one (and other machines) were brought up from San Antonio for the Founder Day races. I don't have the funds required to compete at this level.

Never been to one, but thought they were around a dirt track and made with Junker Lawn tractors mostly???  Bigger pulleys to go fast, no protection on sides and such?  Looked dumb to me in videos I've seen, semi-dangerous too. Maybe they have new rules now since I have seen those old vids?  Drag racing was unaware of.  Just like the big tractors, not much on these that is like a stock rig at all.

From what I remember talking to that guy, this had twin vanguard engines highly modified. I think the flywheels were removed to make higher rpm. Lots of shielding, and special clutches.
