Old school.  You all watch it through your phone, I'll use my eyes and enjoy the whole performance.

While others stare at the screen on a device

An older lady looks on contented and nice

Enjoying the view as it was meant to be

And recording it live as her own memory

Why pay more for a front row spot

If you're going to look on a phone that you bought?

She's enjoying the sight without the use of her hands

A novel idea in a crowd full of electronics fans

What used to be the norm is now very rare

She looks out of place and some people will stare

But she is connected to the world in a way

That a lot of people don't understand today

She uses each sense on its own individually

To perceive and enjoy the world that we see

While others touch plastic and watch on a screen

That is rather small for all the details to be seen

To each their own I guess is the view

But if this is progress I think what I'll do

Is resist the change that has changed the way we see

And try for as long as I can to not pay a fee

To use a device that makes viewing a game

Of viewing scenes prepared by a company with perhaps an aim

That you see the world as they perceive it should be

Complete with commercials made for you to a "T"

To entice you to buy products you really don't need

To satisfy the bottom line of profit they plant the seed

Soon people may not think for themselves as such

As they rely on others to keep them in touch

With a world that is programed for them on a screen

And not the way it was really meant to be seen

So be careful what you see on a screen as it may not be real

But rather some one else's perception of how they want you to feel

To see, to view to think as they do

Rather than as an individual who has choices to
