Model #: 917.257030

Part # 157j

No longer manufactured, but somebody must have old stock.

Used (good shape) would be fine.

Would appreciate knowing what other models these fit.

Could use a steering wheel as well (but a Massy Fergusun wheel is doing fine).

Would like a complete parts tractor, if there's one close enough to pick up...

Thanks.

there is (was?) a guy just off of I-72 near Champaign  only an exit or 2 west of I-57, that had bought a pile of left over parts from when that factory closed, a former employee that lives by me  1st wound up with this stuff but sold it out to this guy near Champaign.
I have been there once ~6-7 years ago, guy's name is Jim.   Like I said it has been a few years since I have been down there, have been wanting to go by and see if he's still there any time I pass thru that area but haven't gotten around to it.

those tractors were built in one of 2 factories, one about 3 miles away (that just got levelled within the last couple of weeks!!) or the other one about 6 miles away from my house.

Dodge Trucker,

Thanks.  If I talk to enough folks around here, one of them is bound to know that guy, now that I know who I'm looking for.  If you think of anything else about that place, it might be helpful.  Just something as simple as general directions or landmarks near the exit.  Before this is over, I'm sure I'll be driving around down there asking folks.

Thanks again.

Bill K

Hey, thanks again, Rick.  Found that yard on Facebook and now I have their phone number.  Pictures definitely look worth the trip.  Bet they have SOMETHING I want, even if they don't have what I'm looking for.  ;)

Not sure how far you are from Dayton, but Bobs is another good lead. He is a site sponsor here too.

Many thanks, folks!  Cody (nkaust) came through (from 3 states away) and I now have parts in hand.  An extra-special thanks to Rick (CRFarnsworth) for steering me to this Forum, and whoever put this board together.  I hope I can do a good turn or 2 for you guys in the future.

Well, it turns out that Cody's parts were different from mine -- but he sent all the pieces, and it was easy to convert.  His was actually a better design than I had.  Works great.

Thanks again, guys.
