I've been lurking around here for a while and finally decided to introduce myself and my machines. My name is Barry and I am located in central Connecticut. I have been bitten by the Bolens bug! I recently bought a RAM from a fellow member in the Buffalo area and got another one on Ebay 20 miles from me. The semi restored one is a 57 without any attachments and the original non runner is a 56 with a front mower deck. I am in the process of trying to get the 56 running if I can. I'm going down to NJ to look at a parts tractor with a center deck on it. It appears to be of the 61-62 vintage, as it has the wide section in front of the seat on the frame. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but enjoys the ride as she wants to stop at all the garden centers on the way! I may be going to look at a 58 with a front reel mower, sno-caster, sickle bar attachment and one other that I can't think of at the moment. I've attached a few pics of what I have.13115797_1004137672973518_446721036_n - Copy.jpg ride a matic -2.jpg Bolens, no hood.jpg THe 3rd is one I'm going to look at.

Welcome to the forum.  The Bolens bug and bite real hard and never let go if your not careful.  I have a '46 RAM with center deck that needs a coil but have other issues to work with another tractor first.Ride-4.JPG

Nice buy on the one on ebay, I was negotiating on another tractor at that time (which the deal fell through) otherwise that would have been in my collection

I don't know about the Bolens bug. I have never run across a Bolens. A few weeks back I was taking my wife to the doctor for a blood pressure test and found a garage sale where they were selling a Sears 18/6 Twin. So I bought that to keep the other 9 tractors I own company.  Two Sears two Ford two Minneapolis Moline. Two John Deere. and one Simplicity. The rest of my machines are parts except the Melroe Bobcat. I guess I just run of in all directions at once. My wife's blood-pressure was still normal. I told the doctor it was a stress test. If you can stick to one breed of tractor you are doing good. tell your wife.   Don                                                                                                       PS you also seem to be doing a good job of keeping them under 1000 lbs.

A nice find and would love an earlier RAM to accompany my other RAM in my garage.

I'd like one of each year made, but then there's the different ones for each year. I'd end up with a barn full if I did that!
