That's a big manual. On the cover it appears the guide rollers are running on the ground, 

How does it ride? Your seated in an unusual position.

If you look at that deck and mine, there are major differences. Across the front, mine has chain hanging. Also, how the lift cable and springs attach. That's why I think mine is an earlier model.

I saw an issue when mowing. This is a left hand discharge deck. At the left rear castor, a piece of metal was missing, causing the grass clippings to blow back onto the drive unit. (This is a CCW cutter assembly) So today I pulled the deck loose and made a piece to close this off. Should help keep the clippings off the 'tractor' unit.

I have been looking at the lift handle on this. As it is, you have to push the handle in to unlatch and lower the deck. Then you have to pull it out to lock the handle in the lowered position. Not a good situation. I studied it for a bit and decided I could make it work better.

What I did was take the lower latch I just made and reversed it. Then I took the handle off and made a new piece where it swiveled. Waiting for rust reformer to dry before I can put it back together.
