"Hello" said the bear, "may I come in"?

As he opened the door with a curious grin

I like to explore and noticed your unlatched door

So I decided to take a tour of your place with a floor

I am looking for a new place to call home

And see that yours is equipped with a TV and phone

Lots of nice perks to make me want to come and stay

Perhaps for a few hours or maybe a month and a day

I am used to living outside with the bugs and such

But I do like the look of this nice little hutch

Free from mosquitos who bite and suck blood out

And your door is right on the way to my honey route

That I walk daily to get my treat of something sweet

And I see that you do have cupboards full of lots to eat

I could take a seat, put my feet up and take a rest

After I have a bath or a shower as I become your guest

I'll try not to make too much of a mess of the place

And I promise to behave with elegance and grace

But please forgive me if I invite my friends who lack the skills

Of behaving themselves as they were raised in the hills

Why are you reaching for that gun on the wall

Are you upset that on you I have decided to call?

If you didn't want guests you should have locked the door tight

And not have made it look like you were offering an invite

So let this be a lesson to lock the door if you live near bears

Or else you may find you have a few additional cares

Caused by new friends of the four legged kind

Who open unlocked doors as they can't read the sign

That says keep out - no animals are welcome here

Even if they do bring a case of their own cold beer!
