When I pulled mt axle out the arm for the tentioning pully was real stiff and I'm sure non effective, what type of lub do I want to put between the arm and the axle housing and shims?

I'm not familiar with the setup, but I usually use either white lithium grease if it's exposed stuff (doesn't penetrate real well, but stays on when other stuff would go away) or some type of penetrating oil such as Kroil or Blaster. Giving this tread a bump may get some more responses too.

Thanks, I quess the original grease was just 41 years old and exposed all those years, I'm finding all the greased areas to be caked with hard, dry, gummy grease.
