After rebuilding the hydro in the very rough Roper 18T hydro last winter ( that came from a barn lot where it had been at least 15 years) I adapted a Kohler K301 onto it and got a video of it running and driving. (There is a thread here on going thru the hydro with the video at the end.)
Then I sold the engine off of the tractor and put it on the back burner because the tractor still needs a lot to finish it.
Well I picked up a homemade buggy with the Onan in it that I have been keeping a eye out for,a big 50 cube ( 49.8 c.I.) 18 HP version. Now its about time to get started on the Roper again.
I pulled the engine from the buggy today and while the engine seems to be in good overall running condition it does need a few things and so does the tractor before I mate them together but its enough to get the project going again.
Now to get the buggy sold because it is fairly big,my space is limited and its in my way :).

Its a moon buggy.  Setup for anti-gravity situations.

Got the pics fixed! Neat buggy! I'd get the exhaust away from the flywheel soon.

I could make something with that buggy, but alas, too far away and out of my budget at the moment.

The back end of that buggy is off an EZGO golf cart.

That's what I was thinking.

I'm glad you found an engine.
Now there will be two of these beasts out there.

Thank you Kenny...again.
They had the exhaust on backwards in the buggy and had welded extra length into the exhaust. I ground the welds off and have the exhaust on right, now.

A little progress this evening. The plan is to put the Tractor back into running condition and work out the bugs, then hopefully this winter take it apart for paint.
