Is there supposed to be any kind of an anti scalp wheel/roller on an R72 with a 30"inch deck? I don't see one on mine?
This lawn tractor was built in 84-85. Has the Briggs and Stratton 8hp engine on it. Rear engine rider.

So I guess there is not one. Doesn't seem right but it is what it is.

Actually, it has four anti-scalp rollers, they just call them tires. They can do that when all four tires are less than 3" away from the deck.
