A young lad donned a cape and climbed high

And decided to see if he could try and fly

He found a roof where the wind was blowing

Which made his cape unfurl behind him flowing

The young man stood proud he had got this far

And debated if he could fly to a far off star

Or even if he could jump off the roof and land

On the ground upright and still be able to stand

He decided that the pose in the picture you see

Would be all the test he would do of the law of gravity

As he accomplished the look of a young lad in flight

And was able to still stand and walk upright

He had learned from the past that to test the law

Was something of a plan that contained a slight flaw

The problem with the test was not the jump or the fall

But the sudden hard stop at the end of it all

So he climbed back down once he had experienced the joy

Of appearing to defy the force of gravity on a young boy

And walked away proud without feeling the hurt

That could have resulted from the plunge to the dirt

He thought things through as he had been taught at a young age

And can now reminisce about being young from a memories past page

I'll have to think about this one. It's hard to be clever with something like this.
