I've got one of those little agri-fab tow behind broadcast spreaders I used to pull behind the lawn tractor (now sold).  It was quite a stretch to reach the open/close lever from the lawn tractor and impossible to reach at all from the Speedex.

I made a bracket with some strap iron and a handle/actuating rod with some 1/4" round stock:

With this set up it's easier to operate from the big tractor than it ever was with the lawn tractor.

Good idea,
Saves on the number of times you have to dismount.

I bolted a 1x1 to mine, I hook up the spreader and lay the extension on the fender in easy reach.

Great improvement!

I have the same spreader but in a walk behind model.

I need to install a bigger fuel tank on mine because it AWAYS runs out of fuel before the job is done!

Come to think of it,  the tank is big enough...  it must be the carburetor that's defective. :(
