Found a great sicklebar mower for my big ten on Facebook. Super cool guy and only asking 300 bucks which I'm told is a steal so I better buy it. He's replace the dog bone and says blades are sharp and it works like a charm so I'm pretty excited. As to how they hook up or what I need to but extra to mount it I'll have to figure out but I'm told it'll fit in my big ten. Everytime I see a b series round hood with a sicklebar it just makes me smile they look right so Im pretty excited for this one amigos.

Keep it very lubricated and keep the throttle low when using it. MFR# for it is 990210.

Nice score, but it looks like you are missing 2 bolts here: missing bolts.gif ,

and you will need a lift pulley/cable system like this:IMG_1473.JPG

The cable system is not applicable to this sicklebar. This is an earlier "hand lift" model offered with B-1, Simplicity 725, etc.  That's why it has the long lift arm on it. It is possible to convert it but usually not worth the effort.

Here is mine with the original hand lift. I prefer using the cable type and now use this hand one for show only.

So mines hand lift bar only? It's that old its b one vintage I have a b one o just got yesterday maybe I'll save it for that . Granted it may be a bit till I get the b one up and going but I plan to repaint and shine her up good the sicklebar would look good on that.

I think the cable lift models came out around the time of the Big Ten.  I know its not really correct but I put the hand-lift model on my HB-212 for taking to shows.
