Got fed up with my old worn out Poulan weed eater.Just bought me a new used one but have to wait till this afternoon to pick her up.

It may surprise some people. The sheer size and weight of this thing will make you grow Popeye arms just by looking at it lol.

Will add pics this afternoon when I go get her.I named her Bethany. She's a large lady lol.

Pics of Bethany or Betty for short.

We have another thread about folks naming their tools. I guess I just feel funny making up names for things. I'm afraid my wife might laugh at me.

LOL here she is.She weighs a good 50-60lbs if not more.It's a 1970 Weedy 100CC 3hp with a 6" 4 string head.

I'll get better pics of it once I get it cleaned up and running.I have the air cleaner assembly for it.I took it off to make a new foam filter for in it and clean it up.

Gas tank still has the original Foam insert in it but it's dried up and super brittle. It does run with a little gas in the carb.

They are basically Tecumseh 3hp 100cc 2 stroke powered Ice Auger engine with a Huge 1 1/4" OD weed eater shaft and diner plate sized string head.

Had to make room in the bigger shed so I could get it in the door lol.

My camera takes alot better pics outside for some reason.

Gas tank was Super clean after getting the foam out.Did a quick points cleaning and carb cleaning and it fired up in errrrrr 30 pulls.lol I forgot to hook the shut off wire back up inside the blower housing and it was grounding out.Fixed that and it starts in 1 to 3 pulls every time.

runs really really good time to string her up and give her and me good workout. :rolling:

The head on this thing is something I've never seen on a trimmer before.Manual feed and 4 separate 2" spools

Spent some time hung onto one of these things in a previous "life". Wouldn't want to do that again. We had a brush cutting disk fitted and it was a 2 person task. One to cut, one to spot for safety. And we'd trade off. Surprised to see they're still around.

Is that muffler pointed into your back or is it off to your right?

2 rows of holes pointed towards the ground.Good thing I'm right handed or it would roasting some parts down there.

The air cleaner he gave me is not gona fit.Going to make 1 out of a Vienna Sausage can some foam and a hunk of electric fence wire to hold the foam in place.

Will be more original than the thing he gave me.It's WAY to big.
