So what is the difference between the k231 321, and the kids 321s?

I think you meant K241. The S is from the list of version codes and means it has electric start.

Look in this MANUAL in the general information on page 1.3 and it explains all the Model # variations..

All K Series engines. K181 is 8hp, K241 is 10hp, K301 is 12hp, K321 is 14hp, K341 is 16hp. All flat head horizontal engines.

Yes but they aren't seen often, the ones I listed are the main K series engines you will find. Also the 361 is slightly different than the smaller versions being an OHV engine.  In the Massey world all your going to find is the 301 (MF1200), 321 (14 and 1450), and 341 (16 and 1650)
