I'm selling my 1971 Montgomery Ward Variable Speed 15, Garden Tractor made by Gilson. It is in great, original condition with little to no rust. Always kept in garage or barn. 4 speed manual and reverse. Briggs and Stratton, single cyclinder, cast iron motor.
I bought in 2009 from an estate sale. I installed electronic ignition, had valves ground and re-seated and carb rebuilt. Motor runs strong and tractor is a cast iron tank.
Sometimes a few drips of fuel drop from the carb bowl on shut down and there is a rattle of the lever to VS Drive pulley in neutral. The rattle started after a shop changed the belt on the VS pulley drive last fall.
I used the MW to pull a cart around my property and does not have any attachments.
I have a manual and parts list for a similar model and the Briggs and Stratton engine manual and parts list.
I recently bought a larger John Deere and have to part with my Montgomery Ward as I do not have room to store both.
Price is $250
