1959 to 1965 DB Suburbans and Sears Suburbans had Briggs and Tecumseh engines. Most of the early Suburbans had Briggs engines.

1966 to 1979 all had Tecumseh engines with the exception of the SS16,SS18,GT18,GT,19.9 with 16,18 and 19.9hp Onan engines and SS14,SS15,Suburban 15 they had 14 and 15hp cast iron Briggs engines.

As far as i know they never used a Wisconsin engine in any of the Suburbans.

We should start atthe beginning, withthe models. There are 21 differnt models of tractors built between 58 and 65. They all used briggs engines, but one model which has a BKN wisconsin. The orginal tested and company photograghed tractor also had a wisconsin, but that one never made it out the door past testing. Tractor testing was done at an orange farm in FL , then the tractors came back to Bradley to be taken apart and checked for wearing items. The first 3 yrs of tractors are nugget gold and electric blue, after that they are all Seaton blue and Artic white.

This is how the model number break down:
 601-602 ....1959
 613-614.....1960
 616-617-618-619....1961
 622-623-624....1962
 628-629-630.....1963
 633-634-637......1964
 644-645-646-647......1965

I found this in my research file - it does refer to a model with a Wisconson.  If you have one I would like to know the Model # and see a picture
