Went on the enclosed deck about 5:30.  It had rained lightly earlier as the sidewalk was wet.  Heard thunder, some lightning, radar showed it going North of us.  About 7 it cut loose and really poured.  Quit about 7:40.  Checked the weather station and showed 1.247" in that 45 min. outburst.  So much for garden work this morning.  Was going to pull onions, dig a couple potato plants, and pick the cucumbers again.  Guess I will stay in the shop on solid ground and work on the QT16.

I would like that. We need the rain. I've got barrels on three downspouts and a 5 gallon bucket under the airconditioner to help water the plants. Good Luck, Rick

We have a 30 gal barrel under one downspout on an out building for flower watering.  Had to dump it as it was full and starting to harbor mosquitoes.  Haven't had to water anything for well over a couple months now.  Before that I had 1" wide cracks in the ground.  Good old clay hills of SW Iowa.

Nothing here yet.  Looking at radar its all going north of us.  Been mowing all morning trying to beat the heat.  We don't need any more rain for a while.

When it gets too hot to be outside I'm takin the MRS to the movie house.

I can take or leave the movie[s] but that popcorn is addicting!
