Hello I'm a toy car collector I collect hot wheel matchbox well you name the brand I bet I have at least 1. Radio control cars 8 of them Schwinn's 7 bikes so now I got a small pc of land and well cant have just 1 tractor and well I cant have just 1 brand lol

 

this on here is my simplicity land lord I believe it to be 1972 or 3 correct me if I'm wrong please

This is my 1986 165 hydro Deere its mainly a lawn mower that can pull a wagon (not a big fan of it)

This is my fav of the bunch!! 1977 Ariens Ill be asking for help with parts on this one !!!!

This on has been on the property since 1957 and it is a 52 8n Ive tossed a bunch of money at it and left it looking a raggle muffin on purpose.

Welcome. You have the year of your Simplicity nailed down.

Since the operation of the JD is very close to how the Ariens is set up, I infer the JD has issues also?

no no issues it was my step dads he bought new/older model at a dealership in sping of 88. And the Ariens was my uncles he bought it in 77 . There deere I just feel like Im om a mower that pulls a trailer and when Im on the Airens I feel like Im on a tractor that mows

well the drive shaft got ovaled out so I don't know if I need the gear box complete shaft or what! Ill get pics and post up when I get a min  Thanks

That's because that's the way they were designed to work.

 

The Deere is a Lawn Tractor and it's not made to do anything other than mowing and light hauling.

 

The Ariens is a Garden Tractor and is designed to do heavy work like plowing, tilling, etc.  There is also a 3-PT hitch option available for it.

Welcome from the Black Hills. Cool tractors. You can post your other collections in the "Other Hobbies and Toys" forum. I have a bunch of old HO scale slot cars in my collections. Roughly the same size as Hot Wheels and Matchbox.

If your Ariens is as good as mine you will have a lot of fun. Mine is my everyday work horse around the little farm.

 

I have a 3pt on the back and use all kinds of things with it.

 

Sure wish I could find myself another one
