Hi guys, I thought I might share this with you, it is a Martin Markham Colt tractor built here in England. It was built in the 1960s. It has a kohler 7hp engine. I bought it from an auction, the previous owner was there, he to;d me that he had had it from new and had done less than 50hours work with it!! This I think is true as the original tyres on it are in excellent shape for their age and look brand new. Just thought I would share this with you. It also comes with the original cultivator and plough.

WOW !   What a find.  That has to be worth some time and a little $$ to freshen up and give a new coat of paint.

That's a lovely example Harry. I saw that too up in Bristol. I love the patina on that and you have scored well on the implements too. In my opinion, I would give it a darn good clean and keep it as it is. I am a great fan of Owatrol and that will accentuate the patina. I know of two other Markhams in the UK.

Get some close up photos too.

Cheers

Andrew

It wansn't the one in Bristol, it was from a local auction. That's what I am thinking with the owatrol. What is the finish like on it and how long does it last as I have not used it before. Thanks

You are right Harry, I just looked at the one in Bristol and it's not the same! Fantastic buy in my opinion and would love to see it when I catch up with Chris at some point.

Owatrol is a good product. George, the Fifeplooman, has more experience using this than me. I have used it on my Bolens tiller last year and it's a joy to use. I would guess it will last for some time if you look after the MM.

Again, a fantastic find mate. You will have to meet up with Paul to see his. :)
