Looking to redo my snowblower, and dotn hanve any manuals. Are there any available ?

Here is a link to the John Deere implement manuals that we have,I don't think there is one there for the 49.

If you need parts you can get the info on JDparts.com. Just do a model search for 49. If that dosen't work look up a tractor that uses the 49 and look under attachments.

If you are still looking at this thread, you may want to upgrade your drive sprocket from 40T to a 34T. It will increase the speed of the auger and throw the snow a lot farther. Here is the link to where I got mine: https://www.surplusc...name=powerTrans

I have been considering this as I plan on installing my model 49 blower on my 1971 120.
