I've got an aging (about 15 yr old) JD L110 Automatic.  It's been running fine, but recently needed a new rear tire.  I parked it in my barn, pulled off the wheel and took it to a local tire dealer for the new tire.  This took me several days to get around to.  I reinstalled the wheel and new tire, and intended to mow a bit.  However, the tractor seems to be stuck in freewheel mode -- the free-wheel lever moves back and forth OK, but nothing happens.  I've never had this happen, so any suggestions to get this thing moving again would be appreciated?

Welcome to GTT. I don't know the answer to your question but, someone that does will be along in awhile. Good Luck, Rick

Have you tried rolling the tractor a little while playing with the freewheel lever? Sometimes things just need to lineup.

Did you install the keyway back in? This is what locks the wheel to the axle.

As said, make sure the key is installed on the axle so it will lock the wheel.

Did you install the keyway back in?...

This is embarassing... the key was laying on the floor next to the wheel.  How i neglected to install it, I don't know!

Happens to most of us, one time or another. How else would we think to ask the question......
