The Ranch King name sticks in my head for some reason but it is drawing a blank(sometimes not hard to do). Hopefully someone can provide the needed info for you.

I have a 97 Ranch King w/ 14.5 Briggs and 42" cut here on the Ponderosa, and we've used it this spring for mowing. Got it as a package deal with a Simplicity project I bought. It's the standard MTD with different decals. Actually mows very nicely!

Yeah, I have seen a few like that. They are what they are, good for mowing or pulling a cart. I can't personally see spending more than a hundred bucks or so on them though. That vangaurd engine is a good one.

I have a '93 Ranch King with 14.5 hp and 42" mower that takes care of most of mowing duties. This one is 7-speed.
