I was just reading and see many people have names for their tractor I thought it would be fun to share our tractor and its name. I never though about naming my tractor but i guess influence got to be so i named my tractor "stinky" not long ago I have since then fixed the stinky that gave it its name but my wife still calls it stinky so.

Here's Stinky

Well ok I'll help get this one started. The first three pics is the old MTD Eight Hundred LT. My Mom gave it to us for a housewarming present when we bought our acre from her in 1980. She bought it from her brother-in-law for 50 bucks. I mowed with it for 25 years. It's still out in a shed. Meet "Uncle Bill". The girl in the pics is the same one, our daughter about 15 years apart.

The other two are simple. About 25 years ago I horse-traded racecar lettering for the MF8E to do dirt work on my go-kart track. The Kohler was blown when I got it and I put a Briggs 8 on it. Has a Tec 10 hp on it now. This one is "Dick", named for the racer I got it from.

My MF12G is what brought me to this site in 2011. Bought it from a good friend that was also a racer. I was on his pit crew for 18 years. This one is "Ron".

I like the idea. This thread will be fun.
Usually, our names are the model number or brand name
"Hey, why don't you move the 165 so I can fire up the 35, connect the trailer, and go get the dozer blade for the Allis"
Is a normal sentence structure here.

Blue Money Pit - aka BMP (83 Ford LGT145)

RED (90 Craftsman)

Hulk II (88 Craftsman II)

Brother of Hulk II - aka BOH, couldn't think of a name at the time. (88 Craftsman II)

Little John

I will caution, once named, the original name sticks like glue, BOH is an example.

You were one of the reason I thought of this post your names are very cool and original and was also wondering how they all come about.

Ahh. To do the name justice I'll need to post from Home. I have better resources there to answer on how each got their names.
