Anyone out there have experience with Toro 824 snowblowers?  I have a friend looking to buy a low-hour 1999 model and I am trying to get a feel if it is a solid machine and figure out what it is worth.  I have found youtube videos of these machines moving some serious snow.

Any knowledge you can share would be a appreciated.

I have a 624 and its a beast...throws snow like no tomorrow and has the torque to push through heavy snow. Mine is an older version I it doesn't have any plastic on it. but the only thing plastic i see on that is the chute so it seems about the same. I can't say but if its made the same as the older ones ...its a great hand held blower. mine has an electric start to but I have never needed it , my wife can even start the bull , we only call it the bull cause its a toro and its a beast.

From what I can find they are pretty hardcore machines with a good reputation.  Now to figure out what this thing is worth.
