there only to badges the hood say ford but on the both side near the fender it say 18 speed 46 cut i have the deck but no way to put it back on plus no gas tank. my wife thought i was crazy for bought it but i has a 18 b&s tiwn op 2 motor so and i paid $25.00 for it as it sits.

The 18/46 part is an MTD frame..  

 

Looks like the thing is a mish-mash of different machines other than that,,  

 

As far as the deck goes the drive pulley is usually on the center spindle..

Welcome to GTT. Post some clear pics of it with the hood off. Your first job is to get that engine running. Before going any further, check that the engine oil is clean and full. Try turning the engine by hand. If it turns real easy or won't turn at all there may be serious problems. Then check the sheet metal covers to be sure that the cooling fins aren't plugged. You may have to remove some of them to clean the fins. Do not remove any bolts or screws larger than 1/4" to remove the sheet metal. Bigger bolts require torquing.

 

Download the engine manual from our Manuals Section and follow the maintenance guide and the troubleshooting guide. When you have questions, just ask(include pics). We are all in this together. Good Luck, Rick
