what's to say that a K241 out of something else is different? It may be but maybe not. You have to look past "just" your exact machine since so many pieces of equip used that engine over the years. Can yours be rebuilt?

If you want one from a Case, you'll need the spec. # for that application.

Pretty sure the Case K241 block is specific for the 155 because the hydro pump bolts to the back of it.

The reason for a motor from a case 155 to my is . One k-241 as to have the bolt pattern for the hyd. pump to mount to.

Reason 2 is if its from a case 155 it can be bolted right up.

#3 yes my motor is smoking worn rings, and planning on rebuilding it, but need machine to mow with for now.

Rebuild time will be 1-2 months from machine shop because its a fill in job at local machine shop at no cost.

most all Kohlers have that bolt pattern cast/drilled in  automatically.

the main thing to look for would be crank length and diameter, if throttle linkage was different you could  "borrow" that from the current engine and swap it over.

Really, to have such narrow search parameters it will make it 10X harder to find,  when probably close to 1/3 of the K241s ever made (they made a bunch!) would probably bolt right on and go....

Case's have very short cranks to mate to the hydro pump....

Case Kohler's have a ring cast into the block for pump mount. Not impossible to line up the pump housing but hard to hit dead on center to keep from having premature failure of coupler spider.
