The law of flight is put to the test
Both adult and child are not at rest
They have achieved lift off and cleared the ground
Sailing through the air with a child's screaming sound
Another life lesson is about to start to unfold
Learned on a journey that may end in growing old
The secret of the voyage is to make it pain free
Hurting from injuries is not much fun you see
I hope that when this car finally comes in to land
That they both can walk and are able to stand
For there are no wings or propeller to maintain the flight
So what goes up must come down - not a pretty sight
Four wheels take the shock of the impact the moment it hits
And then the child will feel it next where he sits
And last the gentleman on the rear will feel the brunt
He'll probably fall off, land hard and let out a grunt
And a moan or two may leave his lips
As he feels some pain in his shoulders and hips
Let's hope that once is enough to teach
This lesson that sometimes life must continually preach
If it looks like a good idea think it all the way through
And make sure that the end result won't hurt or kill you
A second of stupidity can leave a lifetime of pain
Life is way too short to have an injury ruin the game
