At work yesterday on of our regular customers came in and asked me if i want a walk behind

trimmer. When i asked what was wrong with it , he said it was in a barn they was tearing down.

Said he wasnt sure how long it had been there.

When i got it home i put fresh gas  in it and checked the oil, tried to start it but no go.

I gave it a shot of starting fluid and it ran for a bit. Im thinking that the float may be stuck or gummed up.

Right now its way to hot for me outside

Always nice to get free stuff even if you have to work on it a little.  I believe a fuel system cleaning will take care of your problem. Good luck.

Those are great machines, especially when they are free!  You'll have that baby humming in no time.

Clean the carb and a new spark plug. You should be all set.

I gave one of those to a neighbor a couple weeks ago!

He replaced the carb and it runs like a top!

Nice score.  Never to hot to work on a free machine.  Won't need it when the weather gets cold. :rolling:

After many heart attacks and 4 bypass the heat and humidity really gets to me.

I have been trying to read the number for the motor but cant make it out.

I will probably take the carb off and try to match it up

I use to have one of them, my mom bought it, had real use for it, at the time I didn't use it much and gave it somebody with a need. They work very well and I could use it here.

Good to hear from you DS!  Wondered how you've been.  How's the ticker doing?  Sure glad you avoid the heat outside.  Hard enough on people without issues.

For real!  After major issues, having strange pains sure makes a fella nervous.
