I've been looking for some wheel weights for my cub 149 and I haven't found anything yet.

Will other brands of weights work?  I've seen lots of Sears wheel weights for sale but didn't know if they would work.

I've also thought about filling the rear tires with RV antifreeze or windshield wiper fluid like Kenny did on Alice.

Here is the tractor that I will need them for.

Here's the weight chart for liquid filling. That adds a bunch of good weight back there!

Yes other brands will fit as long as there for a 12" wheel.

I would recommend a weight box on the back of the tractor first.  But like has been pointed out above any 12" weight will work.  We have a few sets of odd weights that have come on different tractors over the years that are not Cub Cadet including some Bolens weights.  My favorite set is the E. Rowe foundry weights that I have on my 107.  Them suckers are 85lbs a piece.

I have a Danco weight box to go with FEL but I can't use the rototiller if I have the weight box on.
I will have to look for some of those weights that you mentioned.

I've got the tires loaded with beet juice and a 55lb craftsmans weight on each tire. My cub don't mind the off brand weights. I'm not a fan of the ih weights because they're overpriced although I like how u can stack them.
