Sickle mowing today and broke the cutter bar on my sickle mower, I welded it up but it broke again in about an hour. Anyone have access to new or nos parts or even a good used one?

When mine snapped, I made a replacement out of some cold rolled bar stock.  I think it was 3/4" x 1/4" x 36".  I used the old one as a drilling guide.  Drilled the first hole & then dropped a rivet in to keep the two bars aligned.  Works fine.  Hardest part was finding replacement rivets.

I had thought of that, and will most likely wind up making a new bar I was just looking for a quick fix to get me back mowing again.  Where did you wind up finding the rivets ??

Dan Lonnen was making reproductions and might have some. He is active on Simplicity/Allis garden tractors on Facebook and on SimpleTractors.
