Yesterday a guy told me where there is a "big" bolens tractor. He said he thinks it is 20hp.He figures it is back in the '70s because it's "square looking".I don't know what I will find, this guy doesn't know bolens tractors very well, and apparently the engine won't start so the guy just wants it gone.

That sounds very promising. I wish you the best and hopefully it works out. Would really be sweet if it is a HT20

Well I went and looked at the tractor last night, and some people REALLY don't know their tractors. It turned out not to be a Bolens, and you guys will probably never guess what it was.In fact I'm going to to let you have a couple guesses before I tell you.

Do you smoke George, because you just won a cigar.Yep it was a craftsman, and somebody painted it white with a brush no less.I was all excited,....now what a let down.I can't believe that guy told me it was a Bolens.
I did however ,come across a real Bolens HT20 for sale, but the owner is asking $3000 for it,even though it comes with a tiller, snow blade, and mower deck, but is in terrible condition. This guy had this very same tractor for sale last year at this same time for $4999,I mean the guy is right out to lunch.

Sorry Maynard, I hate when people do that. How can someone mistake a Craftsman for a Bolens, especially an HT20!!!!!!!!!

That's a bummer! Sorry to hear it wasn't a Bolens. Wonder what made him think it was? It's nicer when a deal goes the other way... like a guy down the road calls and asks you if you want to buy his "lawn mower," real cheap, and then you get there and find out it's a real collector tractor! But those deals don't happen too often.
