Big Deal!  I left MY Friday at 6:40 AM to day!  Course had to waste the morning sleeping a bit, but only till 1:00.   Then up and doing yard clearing at Son's new place. Nothing like Working....then after rest .....Working......!   Think something wrong in this picture??   Went out to eat later, nice meal and a drink!  Now sitting here and catching up on the latest and telling MY lastest.  Yep! I like it! :smilewink:   OK, didn't see link, yep, kinda funny and neat!

Wish with all my soul that I could go to work, be glad to have the option. Medical retirement is constantly being told you have it so good while thinking, if they only knew how much it digs at your soul to be unable to feel that sense of fulfillment only providing for ones family can give a person!

I do understand you, as after my medical issues, I feared I'd not be able to do much after.  It tore at my mind constantly, and made healing way more difficult.  I'm never going to be as able as I was before, but I'm able to work and bring home a check.  Don't let it eat at you Eric that you can't work, as you didn't want to be in your situation.

I appreciate your thoughts and did not wish to be depressing, I still try to use my skills to make a bit of cash whenever possible. Luckily I have a wife who stood by me in my darkest days and helped prop me up when I stumbled, or should I say stumble. Whenever I seem to strike a somber tune someone here always seems to lighten the mood, for this I thank all of you.

You've helped prop me up as well Eric. You're not depressing, just honest & truthful and needing to speak it.  Don't sweat it!

Even though I went through a trying time and happy to be working, I looked forward to having 3 days off in a row this weekend.

I work when I want, as hard as I want and at what I want - most of the time.  Advantage of being retired I guess.  Had plans for today but they just went down the drain - Litrily.  Started rain early this morning and to be at it all day and tonight.  Will be at the county musuem for a few hours this afternoon.  Had a good evening with the granddaughter.  6 and the first year she had any fireworks of her own.  Snappers, snakes, sparklers, smoke ball and cracklers.  She didn't light any but still had a ball.  Finished it off with home made ice cream.  Makes up for all the years I had to work weekend and holidays.  Have a safe 4th.

Had to work today until 3

My boss didn't want to be there any later than that any more than the rest of us did

It was fairly hectic both yesterday and today
